available roles
Masabi is looking to fill a number of full-time roles. We offer competitive salaries based on your experience, an employee share options scheme, optional annual travel loan, random stuff like fresh fruit all week and your choice of drinks in the fridge and, if you’re really good, you can have a go on the train set.
We are currently recruiting for the following roles:
mobile application engineer
Masabi is looking to hire mobile application engineers to join our development team – whether you’re a mobile developer guru or you just have one or two apps under your belt, we would like to talk to you. (iPhone and/or Windows Phone 7 experience particularly advantageous.)
javaEE engineer
Masabi is looking for server developers to work with our existing server team to integrate a variety of travel web services and other features into our JavaEE / Spring / Hibernate based server platform, which supports our mobile applications.
mobile application test analyst
Masabi is looking for a methodical tester with a few years experience to work within our agile team alongside other testers.
product owner
Masabi is looking for two qualified Agile Product Owners to work with our product management and engineering teams to deliver products, on time.
technical account manager
Masabi is looking for a Technical Account Manager to be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with UK transport operators. This will primarily involve taking ownership of and growing both new and existing client relationships.
junior ux designer
Masabi is looking for a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to come on board and help bring our apps to life. This will be someone with creative vision, who can also apply their skills to enrich and develop the company’s evolving visual identity.

how we work
We’re a small and friendly company that likes to be as open as possible, so everyone is encouraged to ask about the business plan, request or give an informal lunchtime kitchen chat about any technology of interest, or even listen in to the commercial manager explaining how accountancy works. We develop in an agile, sprint-based environment, and are open to suggestions if you have a really cool idea we should definitely try out.
We aim not to micro-manage. With our fast pace of growth, the candidates best able to thrive will be those that can take ownership of problems and strike the right balance of working within the team but not requiring constant oversight.

skills we look for in every candidate
Passionate, clear thinking, flexible, confident working in small teams, fluent in English and London-based, you’ll have a desire to be both critical and receptive to the input of other team members. Masabi offers the ideal candidates an exciting and diverse work environment with plenty of opportunity to excel in a fast growth business solving a clear customer need with a working revenue share business model.

where we work
We work out of an informal and funky office a couple of blocks south of the Tate Modern in Southwark. It has excellent transport links, sitting equidistant from London Bridge, Southwark and Borough stations in an area which is being slowly redeveloped with some great lunching facilities, nice bars, world class modern art and a convenient river. Proximity to Borough Market is excellent news for gastronomes, if less good for their wallets.

get in touch
If you think you fit into one of these roles, or even if you don’t but you feel you have something to offer, please send your CV and covering letter to jobs@masabi.com. If you’re unsure, you can find out more about our interview procedure and what we look for in a candidate.
Lastly: NO AGENCIES OR RECRUITERS! Sorry, but saying it once is often not enough!
