The platform will be integrated into the existing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.alesig.rts&amp;hl=en_US\"><span class=\"s5\">RTS\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s5\">\u201cWhere\u2019s My\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s5\">Bus<\/span><span class=\"s5\">?\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s5\">\u00a0App<\/span><\/a>\u00a0using the Justride SDK so riders can plan their journeys, pay their fares, and connect to new modes of transit, all from a single interface that they already know and love.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The platform will include mobile ticketing and stored value wallets embedded within the existing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.alesig.rts&amp;hl=en_US\"><span class=\"s5\">RTS\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s5\">\u201cWhere\u2019s My\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s5\">Bus<\/span><span class=\"s5\">?\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s5\">\u00a0App<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s5\">,<\/span>\u00a0as well as agency branded smartcards, all tied together by seamless mobile and web-based account management. Justride will replace a significant portion of existing fare media, which will help reduce the total cost of fare collection for\u00a0RTS, allowing the agency to continue to build on its reputation for innovation and service excellence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Riders will be able to pre-purchase\u00a0passes\u00a0on their\u00a0phones, or\u00a0add money to their stored value account and simply tap their mobile app or smartcard\u00a0on the farebox when boarding the bus. The latter will allow\u00a0customers\u00a0to ride the RTS\u00a0system without having to select their fare in advance. Instead, Justride automatically calculates and deducts the correct fare from riders\u2019 accounts, applying best-fare policies where appropriate. Importantly, the system will also allow those without smartphones and bank accounts to purchase fares conveniently using\u00a0Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs),\u00a0supplying printed barcodes or smartcards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As part of the deployment onboard,\u00a0Masabi\u00a0fare validators will be installed across the entire\u00a0RTS\u00a0bus fleet\u00a0in Monroe County. These validators are designed to read 2D barcode, printed or displayed on screen, NFC, smartcards and will offer an upgrade path to contactless EMV bank cards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Masabi\u2019s<\/em><em>\u00a0core focus has always been to make taking transit as quick and easy as possible for riders.
