{"id":16743,"date":"2018-05-21T19:25:18","date_gmt":"2018-05-21T18:25:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/masabidev.wpengine.com\/news\/apple-pay-now-available-on-the-metrolink-app\/"},"modified":"2018-05-21T19:25:18","modified_gmt":"2018-05-21T18:25:18","slug":"apple-pay-now-available-on-the-metrolink-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.masabi.com\/es\/news\/apple-pay-now-available-on-the-metrolink-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple Pay\u00ae\u00a0now available on the Metrolink App"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"block-\">\n<p><em>Commuting in LA just got easier with the introduction of Apple Pay<\/em><strong>\u00ae<\/strong><em> for Metrolink riders<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Los Angeles,\u00a0<strong>May 21st, 2018<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 <\/strong>Today, Metrolink announced that it\u2019s now even easier to avoid traffic and purchase a ticket for commuter rail services with the introduction of Apple Pay<strong>\u00ae<\/strong> for the Metrolink mobile ticketing app. The addition of Apple Pay<strong>\u00ae<\/strong> enables customers to purchase tickets with just a tap, eliminating the need to type in any credit card numbers, billing info or security codes to complete a transaction.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The use of Apple Pay<strong>\u00ae<\/strong> is fast, secure and part of a technology transformation investment Metrolink has made over the past seven months, which includes a new website and GPS train tracker, as well as the launch of \u2018<strong><a>Scan &amp; Go<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 that lets Metrolink App users scan their phones at Metro Rail gates to seamlessly continue their journeys.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently, more than 40 percent of our riders are using the Metrolink mobile app to buy their tickets, benefitting from convenience and time savings,\u201d said <strong>Metrolink Chair Andrew Kotyuk<\/strong>. \u201cAs part of our focus on customer service, we are adding Apple Pay so riders have even more choices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To use Apple Pay<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>, customers log in to Metrolink\u2019s mobile app, select a ticket or pass, choose \u00abPay with Apple Pay<strong>\u00ae<\/strong>\u00bb and complete the payment using the Touch ID<strong>\u00ae<\/strong> or Face ID<strong>\u00ae<\/strong> feature.
