The event, which recognises the most successful, innovative and influential projects and contributors to the industry, took place in London. In a fiercely contested category, Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) were awarded the prestigious <strong>Mobile Technology Award<\/strong> for introducing the the first UK rail carnet ticket retailed exclusively through the the ATW mobile ticketing app, developed by Masabi &#8211; <span><span><a href=\"http:\/\/app.arrivatrainswales.co.uk\">the Mobile Multi-Flex ticket<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mobile Multi-Flex is a completely flexible carnet product. You can buy a pack of 12 tickets between any two places in the Cardiff &amp; Valleys region (6 in one direction, and 6 in the other), and use them when it\u2019s most convenient. The great thing for passengers is you no longer need to queue up at a ticket vending machine or ticket office to buy your ticket.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Carnet Fare is designed to appeal to <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.masabi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/hubspot-4e16a33bf9b2d876a780.png\" alt=\"ATWNetwork.png\" title=\"ATWNetwork.png\" width=\"354\">semi-regular passengers who travel frequently but not regularly enough to make purchasing a season ticket worthwhile. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A year after launching <strong>350,000 mobile barcode tickets have been sold via the ATW mobile ticketing app<\/strong>, a testament to how popular it has been with passengers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Commenting on the initiative, Adam Stanley, Pricing &amp; Ticketing Manager at Arriva Trains Wales said:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><em>\u201cWe are delighted with the take up we\u2019ve seen for the ATW Tickets app. Our customers have given us great feedback about both the journey checking tools and the ticketing section of the app, and as a result we are working with Masabi to deliver further improvements and hopefully make more of our tickets range available\u00a0<\/em><em>soon.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>The Arriva Trains Wales Project<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>ATW were faced with a challenge.
