{"id":6571,"date":"2020-11-09T13:16:35","date_gmt":"2020-11-09T13:16:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.discoverpassenger.com\/?p=6571"},"modified":"2022-02-04T13:41:35","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T13:41:35","slug":"reading-buses-pause-tickets-during-november-lockdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.masabi.com\/es\/news\/reading-buses-pause-tickets-during-november-lockdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Reading Buses pause tickets during lockdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"block-core-paragraph\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a further lockdown in England was declared from Thursday 5 November, Reading Buses have placed a pause on active mobile tickets to help relieve financial stress for customers. <\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"block-core-paragraph\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passenger are the developers of the Reading Buses, Newbury &amp; District, Greenline 702 &amp; Thames Valley Buses apps and the Reading Buses website, used by hundreds of thousands of people across Reading and the surrounding areas. <\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"block-core-paragraph\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past 7 months, Passenger has responded quickly to Government announcements, releasing updates with the tools needed to help operators and users navigate the changing and uncertain travel landscape. <\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"block-core-paragraph\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jake Osman, Marketing and Communications Manager for Reading Buses at Reading Buses says, \u201cFollowing the Government decision to lockdown until 2 December, people should stay at home if possible. We are able to give our mobile app users an instant ticket pause with easy re-activation, either immediately (such as for key workers) or at a later date, so that they won\u2019t lose out on travel already paid for. For those still using our services, our apps, which show live bus locations and occupancy levels will help ensure that you can plan your essential journeys with confidence over the next four weeks\u201d. <\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"block-core-paragraph\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a public transportation provider with four bus operators within the town, and routes extending as far as London, Reading Buses cover a large and significant network. Carrying tens of thousands of passengers every day, even with reduced passenger numbers through lockdowns and restrictions, they have played a crucial part in keeping the South East moving in 2020. <\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"block-core-paragraph\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passenger CEO Tom Quay says \u201cOur team remains dedicated to supporting operators across the country.
