The \u201cNXbus\u00a0mTicket\u201d app allows passengers to pay for bus tickets on their smartphone using a credit or debit card and is available for both\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/nxbus-mticket\/id1151163268?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.justride.nxwm&amp;hl=en_GB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Android<\/a>\u00a0devices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As well as offering a more convenient and environmentally friendly option than traditional paper tickets, mobile tickets are also cheaper. A \u00a32.20 single paper ticket will cost \u00a32.10 via the app, and a \u00a33.70 day saver is \u00a33.50. Discounted group fares, as well as one and four-week passes can also be purchased. It is hoped that the new service will help reduce dwell times, meaning faster journeys for passengers as a result of less people buying tickets when boarding the bus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><strong>Elsie\u00a0Turbyne, Managing Director of\u00a0Xplore\u00a0Dundee<\/strong>, said: \u201cI\u2019m really delighted with this innovative new way for our customers to use our services.
