This partnership will last throughout the summer season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Starting today, users can open the Uber app, go to your menu, and select FI Ferry Tickets. Then choose the right ticket for your trip (either ferry or water taxi). The ferry takes riders between Bay Shore (Long Island) and the following Fire Island communities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kismet<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saltaire<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fair Harbor<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atlantique<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dunewood<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ocean Beach<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seaview<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ocean Bay Park<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal at the Fire Island Ferries has always been to provide safe and efficient transportation to and from Fire Island. Instead of waiting on a crowded line, Fire Island go-ers can now seamlessly and safely purchase Ferry tickets directly into the Uber app,\u201d said <strong>David Reich, Uber\u2019s Head of Transit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Purchasing ferry tickets via Uber will cost the same amount as through existing options. Transit ticketing has been enabled using Masabi\u2019s mobile ticketing <a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/justride-mobile-ticketing-sdk\/\">software development kit (SDK)<\/a> for public transportation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The water taxi takes riders between all the Fire Island communities, but not back to Bay Shore (Long Island). Ferry and water taxi tickets must be purchased separately.
