This transit mega-event that takes place every three years is being hosted in Atlanta from the 7th to the 11th of October.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What is the APTA Expo exactly? It\u2019s the gathering of transportation leaders, vendors and enthusiasts hosted by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). It features the annual APTA meeting and an expo where hundreds of companies display cutting edge transportation technologies, innovations and share ideas. We can\u2019t wait to show you what we have to offer at the event, but in the meantime, here are four things we\u2019re looking forward to:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>1, Keynotes by US Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao and other leading transportation voices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s keynotes feature a variety of speakers including US Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao and MIT AgeLab\u2019s Joseph Coughlin. Not only that, but there will be a variety of presentations about topics ranging from procurement and innovation to emergency management. These sessions and keynotes will take place throughout the conference and should not be missed if you\u2019re looking for insights into the latest industry trends and themes.<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apta.com\/mc\/annual\/program\/Pages\/default.aspx\">The APTA programme can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>2, MARTA technical tours<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year, the APTA Expo is taking place in Atlanta, GA and will be hosted by the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). The agency will be offering a variety of<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apta.com\/mc\/annual\/program\/Pages\/TechnicalTours.aspx\">technical tours<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>including a ride on the Atlanta Streetcar Economic Development tour, walkthroughs of its Brady Mobility (Paratransit) Facility, tours of the bikeshare system and more. It will provide an exciting look at the inner workings of a major transit system.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>3, Learning Zones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aptaexpo.com\/apta2017\/public\/Content.aspx?ID=10666&amp;sortMenu=104005\">seven learning zones<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>set up around the convention center, offering free workshops and presentations from a variety of industry experts and EXPO exhibitors.
