Customer story — NEORide (EZfare)

Multi-operator regional mobile ticketing across Northeast Ohio

NEORide is a consortium of transit agencies across Northeast Ohio using Justride to deliver a unified mobile ticketing experience under the EZfare brand — one app, one account, across multiple operators.

The challenge

Riders in Northeast Ohio faced a fragmented fare experience with each agency running separate systems. Coordination between GCRTA and neighbouring agencies was limited, mobile penetration was low, and smaller agencies in the consortium lacked the procurement capacity to modernise independently.

Solutions deployed

The solution

Masabi deployed Justride for GCRTA and then expanded through the NEORide consortium to build EZfare — a regional mobile ticketing network across multiple agencies with a single app and single back office. SDK integrations added fare purchasing inside Transit App and Moovit, putting tickets in front of riders already using those apps for journey planning.
